Updating a SimplicityTouch panel via OTA is the easiest method for performing a FW update. This option is available on all Gen3 SimplicityTouch panels, however, some older versions of the FW do not support this method.

How to perform an OTA FW update

1. Connect the panel to the internet.

2. Once the panel is connected to the internet, press the Home button on the panel.
   
    
3. Tap the "Settings" icon, and enter the Password.
   
    
4. Tap "About".
   
    
5. Tap "System Update".
   
    
6. Tap "System net update".
   
    
7. The panel will begin to check for a new FW update. If a new version is available a "DOWNLOAD" button will appear at the bottom. Note: Ensure you backup any important files before beginning this update process. Tap "DOWNLOAD" to begin the FW download. This can take 5-10 minutes to completely download.
   
    
8. Once the FW download is at 100%, tap "UPDATE" and the panel will begin the FW update process. Never power the panel off while the FW Update is running. This could corrupt the FW and brick the panel.
   
    
9. Let the FW Update process complete. The panel may reboot a couple of times during this process.
