Tightening the hinge bolt/screw of your Recordex SimplicityCam. Follow these steps if the hinge becomes too lose and the camera will not stay open.

Tightening the hinge

  1. Find the hinge bolt access.

  2. Remove the rubber grommet using a flat blunt object.

  3. Tighten the hinge bolt with an 8mm or 5/16 inch wrench. You will need to apply more force than expected to turn the bolt. Tighten the bolt about 1/4 to 1/2 of a revolution then test the hinge by opening and closing the camera.

  4. Repeat until the hinge feels tight enough for proper movement of the camera arm.

  5. Replace rubber grommet.
