When you download and install XPress or XSight in MacOS Catalina and MacOS Mojave, sometimes the app will fail to install. If this happens then you will need to follow these steps.

Fixing "MacOS cannot verify" error

  1. Go to your System Preferences.

  2. Then click the Security & Privacy icon. Under the General tab you are going to click the "Open Anyway" button to confirm your intent to open or install the app.

  3. The warning prompt will pop up again but now you will click the "Open" button.

  4. The app is now saved as an exception to your security settings. So you can open it in the future by double-clicking it, just as you can any authorized app, without getting any errors.
